Who is eligible:
Any transfer student (defined as a student with 12 or more
hours) admitted by April 1. Selection is based primarily
on academic criteria, transfer grade point average. However,
the committee is interested in awarding these scholarships
to students who have demonstrated leadership and made contributions
on campus.
How much:
Full tuition for up to sixteen hours for one academic year
(two semesters). This is a non-renewable scholarship.
How many:
Generally award between 10 and 15 student scholarships per
year.
How Do Students Apply:
Simply apply and be admitted to UN-K by April 1. If additional
information is necessary, the student will be contacted
directly.
What about the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship:
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship at UN-K is the same as the
Transfer Student Scholarship. If a transfer student has
been involved in Phi Theta Kappa at his/her community college,
it is helpful to send a letter from the student indicating
so and describing his/her involvement in the organization.
