The College Level Examination Program (CLEP), is a series of examinations, each 90 minutes long, that allow students to show their knowledge in a wide range of subjects.
The purpose of CLEP is to provide a means for students to receive college credit for learning acquired outside the traditional college classroom.
All CLEP tests are offered by appointment. The cost is $65.00 ($70.00 beginning July 1, 2008) plus an additional $10.00 if an essay is required, paid directly to CLEP. There is also a $20.00 Northeast Community College fee due when ordering test material.
