1. Estimated cost of attendance for the academic year (or term requested) is not the amount you owe NECC. The college budget listed includes: tuition and fees, books and supplies, tools, room and board, travel and miscellaneous expenses.

2.  Your expected family contribution is calculated when you submit a FAFSA and is based on an evaluation of your family’s income, assets, family size, etc. This figure is subtracted from the estimated cost of attendance to determine your financial need. The Expected Family Contribution figure is not an amount you have to pay NECC.

3.  Unmet need is the amount of need not yet filled. If you have not already been awarded a student loan and you have unmet need, you may be eligible for a subsidized Stafford loan. Please contact the NECC Financial Aid Office to determine your eligibility.

4.  Type(s) and amount(s) of financial aid you have been awarded are shown here. See the description of Financial Aid Programs Available (link) for details about the type of aid you were awarded. Please enter an A if you accept the award(s) or a D if you would like to decline the award(s).

5.  Sign and date the award letter and return it to the NECC Financial Aid Office within two weeks.
