| Minimum Grade Point Average
Full-time
students at Northeast Community College, otherwise qualifying
for the above-mentioned federal aid programs, must maintain
a 2.0 minimum cumulative grade point average in a program
leading to a degree or certificate. If the cumulative grade
point average falls between 1.5 and 2.0, aid eligibility
will be continued, providing a minimum of nine credit hours
per semester for freshmen and a minimum of ten credit hours
per semester for sophomores are at the "C" level.
If a student does not meet these standards, all state, federal,
institutional aid will be terminated. The student will be
placed on financial aid suspension. A student on financial
aid suspension will be advised by letter that aid has been
terminated and will be expected to continue classes at his/her
own expense. To regain eligibility, a student on suspension
must--in one term and at his/her own expense--complete a
minimum of six credits, or all credits attempted, with "C's"
or better. All students must have a minimum cumulative grade
point average of 2.0 by the end of the student's second
academic year of attendance in order to be eligible for
federal aid beyond that point.
