Choosing a career is a decision that takes self-knowledge, occupational information,
and good decision-making skills. Many high school students, students entering college,
people in the workforce, and those considering returning to work are unsure of their career
goals or would like to redefine them.
Northeast Community College offers many opportunities for career planning and exploration.
Individuals seeking career guidance may enroll in a one credit hour Career Planning course,
use career exploration software, meet with an advisor, and conduct career research.
Career Planning Course
CAPL-1150 1.0 Credit Hour
This course is designed to guide students through a process of career exploration. Students evaluate their interests, abilities, and values through assessments, activities, and career exploration software, videos, and printed materials. Students in career planning explore career and educational options and identify goals. See the current class schedule for course offerings.

The DISCOVER program is a comprehensive career exploration program. Whether you are looking for up-to-date occupational information or help creating a career plan, DISCOVER can assist you. With DISCOVER you can:
