How is a Northeast Online class
structured?
Your course is composed of Course Modules. To access
your course content, click on the Course Modules icon
from the home page. You will now see a list of all course
content modules.
Click on the right blue arrow to expand a module to see
the module components
Click on the blue down arrow to compress a module to show

What are the course module components?
Each module is composed of six standard components. These
are:
Objectives: The objectives build upon basic concepts
and knowledge derived from the content in the textbook.
They are focused on application and problem solving and
require you to address real life situations, make important
critical thinking decisions and communicate new concepts
in meaningful ways.
Readiness Assessment Quiz: The Readiness Assessment
Quiz is a true false quiz to assess your pre requisite knowledge
of the material contained in the textbook.
Learning Activities Overview: The learning activity
overview page is a bridge from the text to the online activities
and provides an advanced organizer for the learning to come.
Learning Activities Segment: The learning activities
creates a bridge from basic concepts and understanding to
application and critical thinking. The activities expand
on the basic concepts explored in the textbook, relate concepts
in a new way, apply models to decision-making, or require
analysis, evaluation, reflection, and action.
Homework Assignment: Details further work you should
perform off-line as part of the total course of instruction.

What software do I use to prepare
assignments?
Microsoft Word 95 or Higher is the recommended software
to use for your assignments.
It is strongly suggested that you create a folder on your
hard drive and save all assignments to this folder before
sending attachments to your instructor. It is also suggested
that you save your assignments on a disk.
Save files in a Word 97 or 95 .doc format. If software
doesn't allow this, then save files in a Rich Text Format
(RTF). Be aware that the more complicated the document
(tables, graphs, etc.) and the more "distant" from a true
Windows 95/98 application, the software application used
to create the document is, the less likely the attached
document will maintain it's proper formatting.

menu at the top of the message, click Forward. Click Browse
