What is copyright Copyright as defined by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is the rights given to you as the creator of text (novels, poems, etc.), materials, electronic materials/texts, Websites, films, music, etc. Basically, it is a grouping of rights given to the creator (or designee) of a work.
Fair Use
The lawful use of a work that meets four criteria (purpose, nature, amount,
and effect) in a way that determines it to be a reasonable use without payment.
