The Northeast Community College Forensics Team welcomes
any student who would like to develop his/her speaking ability
and communication skills through competitive speech. The
team travels to State, Regional and National competitions
to compete in public speaking and interpretive events.
The educational and personal benefits of being a part
of this activity are endless. Competing in forensics requires
time and hard work. Students must be motivated and willing
to take responsibility for many hours of individual preparation
and rehearsal.
The coach is available to guide and assist each student
in his\her quest for greatness. Students are invited to
make appointments with the coach to work on their individual
events. Each semester there will be at least one forensics
course to which all students are invited. The course will
be used as a performance lab. Team practices and meetings
will be scheduled as necessary.
In addition to being a team member, students may also join
Phi Rho Pi, national forensics honorary fraternity. As a
group, Phi Rho Pi will meet, hold fundraising activities
and promote forensics activities.
The Northeast Community College forensics team provides
opportunities in competition, leadership, teamwork, travel,
and academic excellence. Students are accepted as team players
and encouraged to develop winning attitudes and performances.
