Graduation Honor Cords

Honor cords are issued to students with the following cumulative GPA:

• Gold Honor cords—4.0 cumulative GPA
• White Honor cords—3.75 cumulative GPA

Graduates who earn the above cumulative GPA will be entitled to wear an honor cord at graduation. The honor cords are not the same as the PTK stole.

Honor cords are distributed on graduation day. The graduate names will be highlighted if they are to receive an honor cord. Students will come to the Registrar’s Office to pick up the honor cord.

Honor cords are worn during the ceremony. If a student chooses to purchase their honor cord the cost is $10 and can be paid at the time they pick up the cord or immediately following the ceremony. If the graduate decides not to purchase the honor cord, it must be returned to the Registrar’s Office immediately following the ceremony. If the honor cord is not returned and payment not received, the graduates record will be held until either the honor cord is returned or payment received.
