The Northeast Community College Men’s Basketball team finished the 2004-05 season with a record of 18-13. “I was pleased with this year’s group. We had a couple of injuries during the season, but that gave other players valuable experience. We won the Nebraska Community College conference title. In the Region IX tournament held at Sterling, CO, we lost in the first round to Eastern Wyoming.”

“I feel that we had many good experiences. The players went to Woodland Park Elementary School and read to students. They also invited Woodland Park Elementary School to basketball practices where we had students go through drills and also work on their reading.”

Over the years, many players have went on to further their education at four-year schools. Aaron Hansen is attending Bellevue University. Tylor Fincher is at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Shawn Swan is at the University of North Dakota. Travis Test is at the Colorado School of Mines.
